A New Patriotic Party (NPP) group calling itself, Concerned NPP youth of Gomoa east in the Central Region has asked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo not to nominate the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Solomon Darko Quarm again because of his abysmal performance whiles in office.
The aggrieved group in a statement copied to KeseNews today signed by the chairman of the group called Mr George Afful is calling for his removal from office for non-performance and requested the President not to renew the mandate of the DCE.
According to them, he has failed to perform to the expectation of the people he claims to be serving.
The group accused the DCE of having no respect for the chiefs and neglect of the NPP members within the .
They alleged that the DCE, both in conduct and in speech fueled factionalism by selectively working with few preferred NPP executives.
“Our DCE has no respect for the chiefs, “I mean the owners of the land. Because they are non-partisan , they are not showing it. They will explode in future,” the group added.
The group accused Mr. Darko Quarm of sidelining them and disregarding party structures in the discharge of his duties.
The group noted that the abysmal performance is obvious that Mr Quarm cannot perform hence need to be shown the exit since he has not been able to champion infrastructural development to the area.
The statement asserted that the Gomoa east’s development has been stagnant for the past four years during “your era as president is as a result of a DCE who is not qualified to be in that office.”
According to the statement, the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa east constituency , Hon. Kojo Asemani lobbied for this Mr. Quarm to be appointed as DCE for the district knowing very well that he is supper incompetent and not qualified to occupy that position.
